Daily Itinerary

Day 1:  April 4, Arrive to Bali. Check into Merusaka Hotel Nusa Dua. Hotel Check-in 3pm.

Day 2: April 5, Ubud Day Tour.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today, you take a tour of Ubud. Visit Tegenungan Waterfall, a breath-taking cascade nestled amidst lush greenery. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and serenity of this enchanting site. Then, make your way to Tirta Empul, a sacred temple featuring a holy spring surrounded by a grand shrine dedicated to the God Indra. Discover the revered bathing pools, believed to possess powerful curative properties. 3 Then transfer to Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring, also known as the “Temple of the Kings of Tampaksiring” and the Royal Burial site carved into the cliffs of the Pakerisan River. The group will enjoy lunch at Kailasha Restaurant in Puri Gangga. After lunch, visit the scenic Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where the mesmerizing landscape of tiered rice paddies unfolds before you. Then return to the hotel after the tour and the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: April 6, Day of Leisure to enjoy the resort or book an Optional Tour.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then the day is at leisure or take an Optional Tour: Cooking Class, Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace and Market; Lunch included. Approximately $150 per person (Inquire to book). Today, you will experience a hands-on cooking class and learn to cook some delicious traditional Balinese dishes. The morning starts by meeting your host and the other guests joining the class. Together you will stroll around the colorful local market in Ubud where the locals bargain for the best produce. Browse the stalls piled high with colorful vegetables, tropical fruits, exotic spices and fragrant herbs. The host will explain the different produce on offer, how it is used in Indonesian cuisine, and will offer tips on selecting the best ingredients. Back at the cooking class, you will be shown how to recreate age old traditional dishes using curries, sambal and the freshest seasonal vegetables. The class is completely hands on so you will grind the different spices and learn how to use the various utensils. The class ends with a delicious lunch where you get to enjoy your own lavish homemade Balinese feast. After lunch, you will visit the Ubud Monkey Forest, a sanctuary for the malevolent but photogenic long tail macaques. Walk through the forest and temple where mischievous monkeys roam freely. Finally, visit Ubud Palace, the home of the local royal family standing in the heart of the town. Take a walk through the nearby Ubud Market among the colorful stalls of wood carvings, textiles and souvenirs. 4 Return to the hotel after the tour and the remainder of the evening is at leisure.

Day 4:  April 7, Day of Leisure to enjoy the resort or book an Optional Tour.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and the rest day at leisure or take the following Optional Tour: Bali Swing with Miniature Gate of Heaven; Lunch included Approximately $100 per person (Inquire to Book). In the morning drive to the Swing in Bongkasa village. Upon arrival, enjoy the spectacular view over the valley and rice paddies. After a safety briefing, start your activity that includes unlimited swings at 7 spots (jungle, sunrise, romantic, family, libra, bed earth and river view swings), and photo taking at 5 cute bird’s nests. Enjoy the activities while viewing the beautiful scenery. The miniature Gate of Heaven here is a surprise. You will have the chance to pose at this spectacular location and the photo result is amazing! Lunch is included. Inclusions: Private air-conditioned vehicle, English speaking guide, all entrance fees, lunch, bottled water.

Day 5:  April 8, Uluwatu, Kecak Dance and Dinner on the Beach.

After breakfast, enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon (at approximately 3pm) you will be picked up from the hotel. Head to the southern western tip of the island to visit the 11th century Uluwatu Temple, one of six prominent shrines recognized as one of Bali’s ‘spiritual pillars.’ This exquisite structure is located on a cliff, 70 meters above the sea with an amazing panorama, especially as the sun sinks into the ocean. We will then transfer to Melasti Beach to watch a Kecak Dance performance near this site. This is a Balinese Hindu dance and music routine developed in the 1930s. Also known as the Ramayana monkey 5 chant, this is performed by a circle of performers wearing checked cloths around their waists who shout percussive chants as they dance. Then enjoy a buffet dinner at Kekeb Restaurant Return to the hotel after dinner at approximately 9.30pm.

Day 6:  April 9, Day at Leisure to enjoy the resort.

Day 8:  April 11, Day depart Bali.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight departing Bali. Check out time: 11am. Late check out is not included.
